Johanna H. Heddens
Johanna H. Heddens, 87, of Charles City, died Monday, December 15, 2008, at the
Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City.
Funeral services for Johanna Heddens will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City. Pastor Gary Van Wert of the Trinity United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Charles City.
Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday. Visitation will continue an hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday.
Johanna Hoekstra Heddens was born June 23, 1921, Oceola County, the daughter of Henry and Johanna (Bakker) Hoekstra. She received her education at the Oceola Country School. On June 5, 1954, she was united in marriage to Jonce Heedens at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and the Moose Lodge. Her interests included arts and crafts, reading and cooking.
Living family members include her four nephews, Gary (Crista) Mackin of Glendale, Ariz, Dennis (Debbie) Mackin of Willcox, Ariz, Shawn (Irene) Mackin of Phoenix, Ariz and Kevin Mackin of Phoenix, Ariz; seven grand nieces and nephews; and three great grand nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Margaret Mackin; and her infant brother, Jobie Hoekstra.
