Anna Mae Nauman


Anna Mae Nauman, 77, of Floyd, died Wednesday, February 11, 2009, at the 11th Street
Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City.

Funeral services for Anna Mae Nauman will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City. Mr. Jeffery D. Wood, Elder of the Cedar Falls Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City from 5 to 8p.m. Friday. Visitation will continue an hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday.

Anna Mae Wood Nauman was born March 2, 1931, at Bassett, the daughter of Leon and Freda (Idler) Wood. She attended school in rural Bassett. On November 6, 1955, she was united in marriage to Bernard Nauman at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Anna Mae was employed at Comp Systems as a cook for 19 ½ years. She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary. Her interests included ceramics, camping, sewing, going to the trailer, helping at the V.F.W., Cody Bear's Cave and spending time with family and friends.

Living family members include her three children, Linda Nauman of Floyd, Rick (Mary) Nauman of Charles City and Connie (Ron) Niemeyer of Nashua; five grandchildren, Nichole (Nick) Oelberg, Melissa (Brandon) Brown, Kaleb Nauman, Casey Niemeyer and Kara Niemeyer; five great grandchildren, Mariah, Taylor, Gunner, Katlin and Levi; two sister,
Doris Anderson of Fertile and Marie (Bud) Hennick of Charles City; two brothers, Owen (Betty) Wood of Waterloo and Leland (Joyce) Wood of Hanlontown; sister-in-law, Avis Wood of Rockford; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1981; brother, Russell Wood; and two infant siblings.
