Judith I. Lane

Judith I. Lane, 66, of Charles City, died Sunday, October 25, 2009, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.
Funeral services for Judith Lane will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Trinity United Methodist Church. Pastor Gary VanWert will officiate. Burial will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens rural Charles City.
Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. Visitation will continue Thursday at the church an hour prior to the service.
Judith Irene Lovejoy Lane was born August 30, 1943, at Osage, the daughter of Wilder and Fama (McFarland) Lovejoy. She received her education at Osage. On August 6, 1960, she was united in marriage to Warren “John” Lane at Osage. Over the years Judith worked at Salsbury Laboratories, the Charles City Press, the Choo-Choo, and for 17 years at Comprehensive Systems retiring in July of 2007. She was a member of the Women of the Moose and Charles City Bowling Association where she was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2000. Her interests included bowling, camping, crocheting, baking, gardening, bird watching, decorating for the holidays and playing games with the grandchildren.
Living family members include her husband, John Lane of Charles City; two daughters, Theresa “Teri” (Jeff) Lokenvitz of Charles City and Annette (Bobby Herman) Lane of Fredericksburg; four grandchildren, Bradley Lokenvitz, Matthew Lokenvitz and fiancee Kelsey Houghtaling, Sarah Lokenvitz and Diana Lane and fiance Justin Dodson; and a great grandson due in December.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert Lovejoy; and a sister, Norma Moen.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.
