Patricia Walters, 76, of Charles City, died Wednesday, November 11, 2009, at the Colonial Manor in Elma.
Funeral services for Pat Walters will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City. Pastor Gary Van Wert of the Trinity United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens rural Charles City.
Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday. Visitation will continue Saturday from 9 a.m. until service time.
Patricia Ann Otto Walters was born March 1, 1933, at Rockford, the daughter of Bernice Otto Thompson. She graduated from Rockford High School. On February 22, 1955, she was united in marriage to Henry Walters. They lived for two years in Cedar Falls and moved to Charles City in 1957. Pat was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She volunteered at the hospital as a “pink lady” and also at the food box. Her interests included flower and vegetable gardening, quilting, fishing, playing cards, traveling and putting jigsaw puzzles together. Pat always looked forward to sharing her life with her friends and family.
Living family members include three children, Debra Holzer of Charles City, Mark (Tamara) Walters of Renton, Wash. and Randall Walters of LaGrange, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Brian, Bradley and Keri Holzer, Cody and Katelyn Walters and Jacob and Caleb Walters; three brothers, LeRoy (Sue) Klink of Chicago, Ill., Jerry (Aurelia) Klink of Cedar Falls and Jon (Judy) Klink of Klemme; and a sister, JoAnn (Paul) LeRoux of Parma, Idaho.
She was preceded in death by her mother; husband, Hank on July 24, 2005; a daughter, Jeanne Walters; and a brother, Richard Klink.
