Gloria A. Stevenson

Gloria A. Stevenson, 72, of Charles City, died Thursday, February 18, 2010, at Cedar Health in Charles City.
Funeral services for Gloria Stevenson will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City. Pastor David Werges of Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Saint John’s Lutheran Cemetery rural Grafton.
Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday and an hour prior to the services on Monday.
Gloria Ann Bublitz Stevenson was born September 8, 1937, at Osage, the daughter of Harvey and Irene (Ingersoll) Bublitz. She graduated from the Grafton High School. Gloria was confirmed at Emmanuel Lutheran Church at Grafton where she also attended Sunday school and worship services as a child. On April 22, 1956, she was united in marriage to Ralph Stevenson at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. They later divorced. Gloria lived most of her life at Elma. Her interests included flower and vegetable gardening, dancing, roller skating, and listening to and playing music.
Living family members include five children, Dawn (Bob) Gansen of Elma, Jeleen “Jo” (Ron) Dugan of Floyd, Janice Schmidtke of Mason City, Connie (Kent) Vrieze of Floyd and Valerie (Tom) Schrage of Cedar Falls; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and her mother, Irene Bublitz of Charles City formerly of Grafton.
She was preceded in death by her father; and a brother, Harley Bublitz.
