Johnnie Hall
CHARLES CITY, Iowa - Johnnie Hall, 63, of Hampton, formerly of Charles City, died Thursday, February 21, 2008, at the Hampton Health Care Center in Hampton.
Funeral services for Johnnie Hall will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City. Pastor David Werges of the Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Riveriside Cemetery, Charles City.
Visitation will be Saturday at the funeral home an hour prior to the service.
Johnnie Duane Hall was born January 8, 1945, at Ellensburg, Wash., the son of Johnnie E. and Pauline (Lindaman) Hall. He received his education at Charles City. At the age of 19 Johnnie began traveling with the carnival. During that time he was able to meet his idol Elvis Presley and attend one of his shows. Johnnie also took the training program at Oakdale. In 1970 he was united in marriage to Karen Edler. They later divorced. His interests included listening to music, singing, fishing and watching westerns.
Living family members include two children, Kathy (David) Rockhold of Iowa Falls and Johnnie R. (Shelia) Hall of Iowa Falls; six grandchildren, two brothers, Thomas (Berneice) Hall of Rockford and Mike (Dorie) Espinosa of Rockford; four sisters, Dorothy (Anthony) Theilen of Wis., Francis (Tom) McMann of Mo., Charlotte (Jerry) Calvert of Nora Springs and Toni Espinosa of Mason City; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and a sister.
